All-Porcelain Crowns, Inlays, & Onlays

Now you don't have to loose the all-white, natural beauty of your smile when you need dental work. A tooth with a crack or extensive tooth decay may need a crown, inlay, or onlay to regain structural integrity. In the past, these restorations were made of metal. With today's esthetic materials that look like natural tooth enamel, Dr. Kitchen and Dr. Harris place all-porcelain crowns, inlays, and onlays in the perfect shade to blend with surrounding teeth.

Made in a dental lab, crowns, inlays, and onlays are milled restorations. They require two visits to our office – one for designing the restoration, and a follow-up visit for permanent placement. Between visits, while the lab fabricates the restoration, the patient wears a temporary. However, our office offers one-visit crowns, inlays, and onlays made onsite with CEREC, an innovative unit that designs and mills restorations. Not all cases are right for CEREC crowns, and we'll be sure to let you know the best option for your situation. Read more about CEREC here.

Call Dr. Kim Kitchen and Dr. Clifton Harris if you need a crown, inlay, or onlay and you live in the Washington DC or Alexandria, VA area. Our state-of-the-art office in Old Town Alexandria is convenient, and our team can't wait to make you smile.
